Where Is Your Website?:
"From Googles Blog (rel='nofollow') is a new attribute to devalue or give no value to links that could be comment spam. This tells me that Googles valuation of links is almost admittedly too high and they are trying to correct this problem in their algo.
Will This new Attribute Work?
What has been happening thus far? Users that have active blogs have been removing the comment spam, thus removing or devaluing the link that is no longer there. Where is this going to improve from what is allready taking place?
Users, in my opinion will continue to remove the unwanted posts/comment spam as those bloggers would not want Viagra, Casino or Porn comments on their website. So will this help having the rel='nofollow attribute in the link? Users that are not very up on the blog industry will never realize that this exists or that they should update their blog software to get this ability.
Now the abandond blogs that will never be updated by a user are still kept alive by the actual blog spammers that fill them with content'. These abandond blogs are well known by the spammer elites and will continue to do their jobs for a long period of time."
